Basics of the drive data
All drive data of the pL LEHMANN rotary tables have been designed for the following
standard spindle loads in accordance with DIN/VDE 0520 as follows:
– For intermittent service S3 ED20%
– Backlash time of five minutes

Any other conditions required the adjustment of the drive data (acceleration,
jerk limitation, rotational speed).

Reference values for duty cycle (Einschaltdauer, ED)
– For normal rotary table work such as milling / boring (mainly positioning): approx. ED 20 %.
– For milling / boring in intensive mixed operation (positioning / feed machining): approx. ED 40 %
– For profile and depth grinding: approx. ED 60 %
– For engraving: approx. ED 80–100 %.

For indexing accuracies, please see the respective EA. For indexing axis with T2-type and/or T3-type rotary tables, please see the respective M2- and/or M3-type rotary table. Please note that the indexing accuracies always apply in the unloaded condition and that swiveling axes may show additional inaccuracies due to material elasticity (mainly for vario or varioX versions). For heavy-duty applications, we recommend using a direct angular position measuring system (See p. 53).
